If you use Vim on Windows, and you wish you had some of those nifty UNIX command-line tools,
but do not feel like installing all of Cygwin, you can get many of the most-used tools from Ron Aaron's
web site:
http://www.mossbayeng.com/~ron/vim/builds.html
Since Ron is a big Vim fan (see http://www.mossbayeng.com/~ron/vim/vimrant.html ) you can count on
these tools' working well with Vim.  For some hints on how to use them, read
:help :grep
:help lid
inside Vim.
     Happy Vimming!
